Steak Kabobs


2 lbs. steak, cut into cubes
1 medium red onion, cut into fourths
1 bunch asparagus, blanched and cut into thirds
1 (8 oz.) package baby portabello mushrooms

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tsp. brown mustard
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. dried basil


1. Combine ingredients for marinade in a large ziploc bag. Add steak and allow to marinade in the refrigerator for 6 hours.

2. Preheat grill on medium high heat.  Thread steak and vegetables onto skewers, alternating steak, onion, asparagus, mushroom, etc.  Brush entire kabob with marinade.  Discard remaining marinade.

3. Cook over medium high heat for 10 minutes, rotating frequently, or until steak is cooked through.

Serves 4
